The Hotel Netherland was a luxury hotel located at 5th Avenue and 59th Street in Manhattan, New York City. Opened in 1893, it was designed by Henry J. Hardenbergh, the architect known for iconic landmarks such as the Plaza Hotel and the Dakota Apartments. The Netherland was an 18-story structure, which made it one of the tallest buildings in the city at the time. With its prominent location, opulent interiors, and unparalleled service, it quickly became a hotspot for wealthy travelers and New York's high society.

However, the hotel's life was relatively short-lived. In 1927, it was demolished to make way for the construction of the Sherry-Netherland Hotel, a new luxury hotel that continues to operate on the site to this day.
