Trade and Professional Placement

Overview

HistoricalPix Studio is a studio specializing in curated historical photography collections produced for interior designers, art consultants, hospitality spaces, and institutional projects.

The work focuses on historically grounded imagery selected for architectural calm, cultural gravity, and long-term relevance. Rather than selling individual decorative prints, HistoricalPix develops cohesive series designed to anchor contemporary interiors quietly and credibly.

The Work

HistoricalPix collections draw from verified public historical archives, including materials preserved by institutions such as the Library of Congress and defunct regional newspapers.

Each image is:

  • Carefully selected for compositional restraint and clarity
  • Digitally restored and optimized for large-format presentation
  • Produced as a museum-grade physical object suitable for professional installation

Collections are typically city- or theme-based and intended to be placed as groups rather than single works.

Presentation Standards

Sizes

Standard large formats include 24 × 36 and 30 × 40.
Fixed sizes are used to support consistency across installations.

For large-scale environments, HistoricalPix also offers custom full-wall photographic wallcoverings and murals, produced to site-specific dimensions and viewing distances.

Framing & Matting

Traditional window matting is used only for small formats (20 × 24 inches and under).

Large-format works are presented without mats, using float margins or spacer-based framing to maintain structural stability and a clean, architectural appearance. All framing is conservation-appropriate and designed to integrate quietly into professional interiors.

Large-Scale Wallcoverings & Murals:

For architectural installations, we produce custom full-wall photographic wallcoverings and murals. Wallcovering installations are produced as unframed, continuous surface applications, suitable for feature walls, corridors, lobbies, and large-scale architectural settings.

Materials

  • Archival pigment inks
  • Museum-grade fine art paper (for framed works)
  • Contract-grade wallcovering substrates (for mural installations)
  • UV-protective glazing (acrylic, where applicable, for safety and weight considerations)

All framed works are delivered installation-ready.
Wallcovering projects are supplied with production specifications appropriate for professional installation.
