Hiram Walker (1816-1899) was an American entrepreneur who founded the Hiram Walker and Sons Ltd. distillery in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. He established the distillery in 1858 in what later became Walkerville, Ontario. Walker's unique whisky, known as Hiram Walker's Club Whisky, gained immense popularity, becoming Canada's top export whisky. He also created a company town around the distillery, overseeing various aspects of the community. The distillery remained in the Walker family until 1926 when it was sold. Today, Canadian Club whisky continues to be produced at the original distillery site, now owned by Pernod Ricard, with the Canadian Club brand owned by Beam Suntory.
