In this intimate photograph captured by Jack Delano in 1941, we witness a young woman engrossed in ironing her clothes. The view is framed through the doorway of her bedroom, a technique often employed by photographers of the Farm Security Administration (FSA) during that period. The image invites us into her personal space, where she dedicates herself to the everyday task of maintaining her appearance.
